Youth WASH Coalition Africa (YWCA) formerly the Liberia Youth WASH Coalition established in 2012 is a consortium of civil society youth-led and youth-focused organizations advocating and campaigning for access to clean water and better sanitation for young people in some of Africa’s poorest regions through research, policy advocacy, awareness, sensitization, and capacity building.

YWCA was created as a platform to strengthen and build the capacity of youth-led organizations on water, sanitation, and hygiene by engaging them to work towards taking action.

OBJECTIVES:

Promote and support the implementation of SDGs 6;

Strengthen and build the capacity of youth-led organizations to enhance and increase advocacy on WASH at the local, national, and regional level;

Monitor, track, and evaluate WASH investment at the national level;

initiate joint youth actions to address WASH-related challenges in schools and communities;
